Uzbekistan

The reforms underway in Uzbekistan are a central building block to economic growth, promoting regional integration, and creating legitimate pathways to address grievances for various sub-sectors of society. The reforms also act as a critical precursor to productive security and economic collaboration and integration in the region due to Uzbekistan’s central placement in the geography, large population, and natural resource wealth. Search opened its office in Uzbekistan in 2022 after working in the country through local partners since 2016 and aims to support civil society, particularly women and youth, to promote a culture of collaborative problem-solving and inclusive governance. We work to develop the capacity of local partners, build relationships between government and civil society, and empower and amplify the voices of youth and women leaders.
